Noemi, a newspaper reporter, has missed her train stop. She meets Gerado, gets off at his station and they go for a drink. He tells her that he is going to his fathers funeral and invites her to join him.
During the funeral, she learns that his father has been murdered. She is approached by a village elder who begs her to help investigate the crime. Unable to quell her reporter instincts, she dives headfirst into the case and begins to unravel a bizarre tale of murder for profit, sibling rivalry, and an urban myth mired in the supernatural...a myth that has haunted the town for decades.
